QUESTION:
Anybody bought a home while it was in it's early stages of foreclosure?
I am a first time home buyer and would like an idea of what the process will be like buying a home that is not on the market and is in it's early stages of foreclosure. The owner has agreed to sell and I have found a lender and been pre-approved for the loan and would like to know in detail what I need to do next and what to expect.
Thanks I really appreciate any insight!

ANSWER:
You should likely get an attorney. You know for a fact that you are dealing with someone with questionable ethics. As long as you can close your loan before the foreclosure date the status will not effect your purchase.
You need to write up a sales agreement and get your loan officer on the job actually obtaining the loan.
